The oldest parts of the venerable Romani Residence date back to the 14th century. Outside, the manor - such as many others in the Oltradige area - presents itself with an inner courtyard and a beautiful garden. Inside it is characterised by vaulted rooms, wooden floors and antique furniture. The carefully renovated three-storey building has been listed as a monument since 1950.
Nowadays in the historical chambers of the Romani Residence you will find a restaurant with its own herb garden: the "Taberna Romani". It is housed in the stylish ambience on the ground floor, whereas on the upper floors there are some holiday apartments.
By the way: Romani is a common surname in this area along the famous South Tyrolean Wine Road. And how to reach the residence? It is located in the Via Andreas Hofer road no. 23 in Termeno (Tramin), surrounded by vineyards, south of the village centre. In the centre itself there are some parking possibilities and a bus stop.
