The viewpoint in the Castelvecchio Forest offers a gorgeous view on Lake Caldaro - from here you can also descend into the Rastenbach Gorge. Also the surrounding peaks, such as Mt. Mendola, Mt. Penegal and Mt. Roen, are well-known panoramic mountains.
The Castelchiaro fortress, which rises high above Lake Caldaro, provides a bird’s eye view on the lake, whereas from Castel Varco, situated at the height of the Novale al Varco Mountain Saddle between Vadena and Caldaro, the view opens on the other side of the valley, the Bassa Atesina.
