There, where Lake Caldaro can be found today, once a beautiful town was located whose inhabitants were evil, terrible people

Only one house, situated a bit higher and away from the town, was inhabited by a pious but poor family. When Christ came with his disciple Peter to this area, they were tired from the long journey and starved to death. In the house of the pious family they asked for something to eat, but they had nothing to offer, except a jar of fresh water.
So Peter went down to the town to ask for something to eat, but came back empty-handed. When Christ heard of this mercilessness, he indignantly took the water jug and poured it out of the window. At the same moment, water came out of the ground and flooded the godless town. The inhabitants of the poor hut, however, could now fish in the lake and never had to suffer from hunger again.
