The special South Tyrolean Wine Academy - "Südtiroler Weinakademie" in German, "Accademia del vino Alto Adige" in Italian - is mainly dedicated to the topic of wine.The idea was born in collaboration between the association wein.kaltern and the South Tyrolean Sommelier Association, who wanted to pass on their know-how to the public. A profound knowledge in this sector is by the way not only advantageous in professional life as an oenologist or a sommelier, but also a personal enrichment.

In the facility seminars, advanced training courses and events focusing on the topic of wine take place, but also lectures and workshops about beer and other typical South Tyrolean products. The programme is consequently divided into four thematic areas: wine (Wine Academy), beer (Beer Academy), speck (Speck Academy) and culinary delights (Ambassador of Culinary Delights).
