Numerous events in the wine village of Termeno, especially in summer and autumn, celebrate the exquisite wines
The Gewurztraminer is among the most popular wines worldwide, and its home town celebrates it with various events, such as the "Gewurztraminer Wine and Walking Day" in spring. This event marks the start of the festive season and invites to wander on Bacchus' traces through a Mediterranean landscape and the vineyards of Termeno, with some stops at the local wine cellars. At the beginning of July follows the "Gewurztraminer Festival" in the village centre, celebrating the summer in the south of South Tyrol with wine tastings, live music and culinary delicacies.
Also autumn is an interesting season in Termeno. The vineyards turn yellow and dip the landscape around Lake Caldaro in golden colours. The temperatures are still pleasant and reach maximum values of 25 degrees C in September. At the end of September the "Autumn Days" or "Toerggele Days", where the wines of Termeno can be tasted, take place at the fairground.
The "Termeno Sensual Pleasures", however, show you what happens behind the scenes of the wine production: the 3-day journey at mid-October leads you to the local cellars and wineries. At the same time there's also the "Termeno Wine Lane", a festival in the historic centre, which offers live music, the excellent wines of Termeno (Tramin), roasted chestnuts, poppy seed krapfen and autumn dishes. Some weeks later finally, at the end of October, the "Wine-walking week" invites to beautiful daily hikes. Further information can be found in the event calendar!
