The best wines of Caldaro and Termeno can be tasted in different locations in a relaxed atmosphere

Wine tastings are not only a highlight and a pleasure for oenologists, wine critics and sommeliers but are also very popular among wine lovers. Caldaro (Kaltern) and Termeno (Tramin) have a wide range of attractive possibilities including the wineries of the two villages: the Termeno Winery, which has been existing since 1898, offers a point of sale inside the winery, where you can taste the whole available collection of wines without an appointment. The Caldaro Winery, however, is known for its winecenter, a monolithic building which invites to tastings of the best wines of Caldaro and which serves also as a popular backdrop for several events.

Wines can also be tasted at the South Tyrolean Wine Museum and the South Tyrolean Vine Museum at the Lieselehof Winery, both located in Caldaro. Furthermore the event programmes of the tourist offices include wine tastings and guided tours in the local wineries and distilleries.

And otherwise… it’s party time! Events such as the “Wine Party” and the “Caldaro Wine Days”, the “Wine and Cuisine” festival and the “Gewurztraminer Festival”, the “Termeno Sensual Pleasures” and the “Termeno Wine Lane” all put the popular juice of the vine in the focus. Of course the best wines of Caldaro and Termeno are a fundamental part of the programme. Cheers!
