Bolzano Exhibition Center

In the main town of the region, 15 km away from Caldaro, there's the Bolzano Exhibition Center (Messe Bozen, in German - Fiera Bolzano, in Italian). Already 950 years ago, this area was known as a trade centre between north and south. In 1948, the first modern fair took place, at that time called Campionaria - today it has become the most tradition-rich fair of the Bolzano Exhibition Center: the Autumn Trade Show. Its main focus is on arts and craft, household and health. Products are exhibited, innovations are presented and can be purchased at a special price.

The most popular fairs, however, include the Free Time in April, which is dedicated to sports, hobbies, vacationing, gardening and mountains. Furthermore there are the Kreativ (Exhibition for Handiwork Creativity, Decoration and Arts) in September, as well as the Arredo (Furnishing) and the BioLife, the Trade Show for Regional Organic Excellence, both in November. The other events are aimed at certain industries and divisions, such as the AgriAlp (Alpine Agriculture Show) or the Interpoma (International Trade Show for the Cultivation, Storage and Marketing of Apples).

Parking space, bar and other facilities are available. Furthermore, the Bolzano Exhibition Center is located in the industrial zone, right opposite the Bolzano South train station. The venerable walls of Castel Mareccio in Bolzano, however, serve as a perfect backdrop for the Wedding Fair "Marry Me", a two-day event in autumn for future wedding couples.
