This short walk through the vineyards of Termeno includes a visit of the beautiful St. Maurice Church in Sella
Image gallery: Hike from Termeno to Sella
This nice walk to the village of Sella (Söll) near Termeno is recommended on not too hot days and offers a beautiful view on Termeno with its vineyards, from Lake Caldaro to Castel Rechtenthal. The ideal starting point is the little parking space along the Via Rechtenthal road, near the wooden bridge. There we follow the signpost no. 11 towards Sella.
After a few minutes we are amidst vines and follow the mostly asphalted road. Arrived at Sella, we visit the stunning St. Maurice Church and admire the well-preserved frescoes on the interior walls: they depict scenes from the life of Jesus.
We don’t want to walk back along the same route, so we follow the path towards Lake Caldaro (signpost), which proceeds through the deciduous forest, and continue on the "Nussenweg" or "Seeweg" path back to Termeno and our car again.
