A beautiful walking tour in spring leads through the nice Tröpfltal valley in the surroundings of Caldaro

On a beautiful day in May we - that's to say me and my two children - start our hike to the Tröpfltal, a special little valley near Villa di Mezzo (Mitterdorf), a district of Caldaro. We start our walking tour at the Piazza Major von Morandell square where we park our car and walk towards Castel Campan. We turn into the Via Garnellen road, which proceeds into the rich green forest. Also the vines already have the first buds now in spring.
We hike along the left edge of the Tröpflbach brook and follow the marker no. 17. The path proceeds uphill - flowers, blooming wild berries and other plants grow by the wayside. Again and again we stop, so that the kids can play at the water.
The path crosses the brook and still proceeds uphill. Finally we reach the Mendola Pass Road. Here we have two possibilities now: either we walk along the road to the Kalterer Höhe and further back to San Nicolò and Villa di Mezzo, or we return along the same route through the forest. We choose the second alternative.
