In summer the fixed-rope routes of the Mendola Ridge offer a great opportunity to practise this wonderful sport

Via the Passo della Mendola mountain pass you can reach the Rif. Oltradige al Roen mountain hut at 1,775 m a.s.l., where the fixed-rope route to the 2,116 m high Mt. Roen is located. Slightly further away, in Magrè on the Wine Road, the Ferrata di Favogna fixed-rope route starts, whereas in the neighbouring village of Appiano there is a climbing crag in the Monticolo Forest, called "Col dell'Uomo", which offers routes in various levels of difficulty.

In the Castelvecchio Forest, however, the Caldaro Adventure Park was realised, a high rope course with 24 different courses and 36 Flying Fox facilities. An absolute highlight for locals and guests! Also indoor climbing is possible: three climbing gyms between Bolzano and Termeno are waiting for climbers or for those who want to try this sport for the very first time.
