Golf

Caldaro and Termeno themselves don't feature an own golf course, but in the neighbouring village of Appiano there are even two courses: the 9-hole course in Riva di Sotto, realised only a few years ago on a surface of 10,000 sqm, is called "The Blue Monster" because of its several water expanses. Together with the extensive green areas, which are groomed without chemical fertiliser and pesticides, they result in a beautiful landscape amidst the surrounding vineyards.

Castel Freudenstein in Appiano, however, offers a private golf training course with integrated Golf Academy, facilities which are also open to the public. Half an hour's drive away there are further possibilities to practise this exclusive sport:

* Golf Club Monte San Pietro:* on the Monte Regolo high plateau there is a fabulous 18-hole golf course at 1,200 m a.s.l., located at the foot of the Dolomites (31 km away from Caldaro).
Golf Club Carezza:** the 9-hole course "The Mountain Beast" is located at 1,680 m a.s.l. in Nova Levante (Welschnofen), in scenic position at the foot of Mt. Latemar (37 km from Caldaro).
* Dolomiti Golf Club: right behind the Passo della Mendola mountain pass the 18-hole course of Sarnonico can be found, which is already part of the Trentino (22 km from Caldaro).
