The Long Wednesday celebrates the beautiful summer evenings in the wine village of Termeno (Tramin). The historical centre remains closed to traffic and fills with visitors, music stages and booths offering culinary delicacies and a glass of exquisite wine along the Via Hans Feur road. Furthermore, the shops stay open to 10 pm.
The summer evenings, taking place every Wednesday between mid-July and the end of August, are dedicated to different topics, including agriculture, wine, family and local culture. Different clubs, associations and inn keepers offer special initiatives. Handicraft and playing chess at the Piazza Municipio (Townhall Square), horse drawn carriage rides, South Tyrolean delicacies, live music by local bands and fire-fighting operations as in former times are part of the programme.
