Lake Caldaro offers the best conditions for this popular water sport that combines elements of surfing and sailing: with stable high-pressure weather, already in March the souther "Ora" coming from Lake Garda reaches the Valle dell'Adige valley. The beauty of the lake, the surrounding landscape in the south of South Tyrol and the mild temperatures do the rest. By the way: also Fabian Heidegger, a former world class windsurfer, is born in Caldaro.
